Nothing remains of Prospect Furnace except slag. The site is now a saw mill and the furnace was torn down long ago.
Found extensive slag on the hillside below the sawmill. Identified two depressions in the flat area along the hillside
that may have been structures at one time. Several large stones are in the area and down the nearby ravine, but it cannot
be stated with any certainity that they are from the furnace.

From Callensburg, go west on PA 68 for a half mile to the bridge over the Licking Creek. Cross the bridge and turn
south (left) onto SR 2009. Proceed 0.75 miles to a road on the left (T368). Ask permission at the first farmhouse on the
left. The furnace site is between the creek and the hill.
