Savage Forge was built to convert pig iron from nearby Paradise Furnace into wrought iron. Today, only a few stones remain of the original site.

Located in the Trough Creek State Park, just east of State Rt 994, on the south western edge of Raystown Lake. The Pennsylvania State Parks operates a website at Trough Creek.
